Lecture event: The world of AI
From algorithms to intelligent systems: the world of AI
This was the title of a lecture organised by the Seniors' Advisory Council, Seniors' Office, VHS and EUROPE DIRECT. This lecture in the packed LernWerk event hall caused both astonishment and shock among the audience: Astonishment about the rapidly developing possibilities of AI, concern about the dangers of this technology: e.g. misuse, environmental pollution, influence on the world of work. The Seniors' Advisory Council
- is a non-partisan and non-religious interest group
- consists of people who have experience in voluntary work with senior citizens
- is elected in the form of a delegate election. All clubs, associations and groups in Bocholt that are active in local senior citizens' work nominate people for the delegates' assembly. This then elects the members of the Seniors' Advisory Council from among its members.
- is elected for five years, the term of office is linked to the term of office of the city council.
Working groups: Our topics
