Glades Tchiri

My name is Glades Tchiri, and I share the role of neighbourhood manager with Judith Efing at the DRK Bocholt South-West Neighbourhood Centre.

I enjoy being involved in neighbourhood work to foster neighbourliness and a sense of community in the Bocholt South-West neighbourhood. Our focus is on the needs of older people and migrants.

Thanks to my own multicultural family background, I am familiar with the challenges and potential of these groups. As a former integration mentor, I know how important support and guidance are when it comes to integration.

As I speak several languages, I can help with filling in forms or with other matters if required.

Judith Efing

As a qualified office and project management specialist, I have worked for many years in various areas of organisation, projects and major events. Through this, I have learnt one thing above all else: great things come from working together.

Following my time in business development, I have been working for the German Red Cross (DRK) since 2024 in a coordinating role within the administration and projects department.

My new role as neighbourhood manager in the South-West neighbourhood brings together exactly what matters most to me: connecting with people and working together to turn ideas into reality. I'm particularly keen to get to know the neighbourhood and its diversity, and to help ensure that the people living there feel at home.

For me, being open to a wide range of ideas and concerns is just as much a part of the role as supporting, guiding and working together to turn ideas into reality - so that the neighbourhood becomes even more beautiful, vibrant and liveable.

Weekly schedule of regular activities

MONDAYS

9.00 am to 11.30 am: Open breakfast meet-up [Every 4th Monday of the month]

10.00 am to 12.00 pm: Open consultation hours

3.00 pm to 5.00 pm: Needlework Club [Every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month]

TUESDAYS

09:00 to 10:00: YOGA class [by prior booking]

7.00 pm - 8.30 pm: Language café - practise everyday German together and meet new people [Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month]

WEDNESDAYS

10.00 am to 1.30 pm: Balance in the Cooking Pot - Cooking healthily together [Wednesdays, once a month - please enquire about the exact date]

3.00 pm to 5.30 pm: Games afternoon

7.00 pm to 9.00 pm: Diabetes group [Every 1st Wednesday of the month]

THURSDAYS

2.00 pm to 4.00 pm: Open consultation hours

FRIDAYS

09.30 to 11.30: Sewing café

SUNDAYS

3.00 pm to 5.00 pm: Meet-up for single people [Every third Sunday of the month]
