Housing, mobility and security
Goals
- The aim of the working group is to support older people in being and remaining mobile.
- Supporting the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council with information policy on barrier-free and safe routes and buildings, accessibility and public transport, as well as with advice and training on safety and order.
- The aim is also to increase older people's sense of security. There are many offers: Advice and courses provide tips and knowledge on how older people can move around safely in traffic and how they should behave in the event of attempted fraud.
- The Seniors' Advisory Council organises its own events on these topics and tries to create transparency about other offers.
- Networking
- Campaigning for appropriate and affordable housing for older and disabled people
- Promoting common ground between the generations in individual neighbourhoods
- Proposals for the furnishing and design of senior-friendly housing
- Promotion of multi-generational homes
