Pure summer feeling in the bay
Open-air music, cold drinks, delicious street food and sunsets right by the water - from 14 to 16 August 2026, the bathing bay on Lake Aasee will once again be transformed into a colourful festival venue for three days.
Look forward to a free stage programme featuring DJs and live music from Radio WMW, as well as a large, free children's play area with plenty of attractions for our younger guests too.
Whether with friends, family or simply to enjoy yourself - the Aasee Festival is a highlight of Bocholt's events calendar every year.

New site and safety plan this year
For the past five years, the Aasee Festival has been the place to be for everyone who loves summer in Bocholt.
In 2026, we'll be celebrating this small anniversary with the festival's tried-and-tested atmosphere and a new concept designed to ensure greater comfort, cleanliness and safety.
In recent years, visitor numbers and the intensity of use have risen sharply. This has led to significantly more litter and safety issues caused by the large number of bulky items brought onto the site. To ensure the event remains safe, clean and family-friendly, the festival site will be fenced off for the first time this year.
Access will be via several central entrances where bags will be checked.
