First City Councillor Björn Volmering is the Mayor's general deputy and, as head of the executive division, is directly responsible for the following departments and staff units:

• School and sport
• Fire Service
• Demography

When it comes to urban development, construction and issues relating to the city's infrastructure, Daniel Zöhler is the first point of contact. Bocholt's head of the building department is also responsible for the following topics:

• Urban planning and building regulations
• Property and land management
• Building management
• Mobility and environment
• Disposal and Service Organisation (ESB)

The city of Bocholt's finances are the focus of city treasurer Jennifer Schlaghecken. The councillor has been a member of the city administration board since 2021.
