Bocholt Wine Festival, 24-26 July 2026
The event is expanding to mark its anniversary
A firm fixture in the diaries of many Bocholt residents and wine lovers is the Bocholt Wine Festival, which takes place this year from 24 to 26 July . For the 30th time, winegrowers from the Palatinate are coming to Bocholt to transform St. Georg's Square into a wine village over these three days. St Georg's Square has always been very well attended in recent years - almost too well. That is why the wine festival is being expanded for this anniversary. There will be an additional wine stall and another food stall. The event area will extend towards the Ravardi district, thereby spreading out the crowds across the whole square. ""Provided the weather plays along, the wine festival is a real crowd-puller. So it's a win-win for everyone if the square and the range of activities on offer are expanded. We had to take action here for safety reasons alone"," says Ludger Dieckhues from Bocholt City Marketing.
New this year are two winegrowing families from the Palatinate: Weinhaus Lammering is replacing Weingut Hörner, which is retiring after many years at the Bocholt Wine Festival. Weingut Ludwig Eberley is setting up another wine stall this year, bringing the total to eight. The wine festival's culinary offering is being expanded to include Tapavino from Ravardistraße, meaning the snack bar and the tarte flambée stall will be joined by a tapas stall. There will also be a second toilet trailer.
