Aalten's mayor Stapelkamp nominated for new term of office
Council of the Dutch neighbouring municipality recommends reappointment
Anton Stapelkamp may continue as mayor in the Aalten municipal council. He was nominated for a six-year re-election at the last closed council meeting. This council decision goes via the King's Commissioner to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations of the Netherlands. Ultimately, Mayor Stapelkamp is reappointed by royal decree. His current term of office ends on 22 December 2023.
Large ESB children's flea market is cancelled
The children's flea market planned for next Sunday, 04.06.2023 at the Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt (ESB) is cancelled. Due to a tragic accident this week in which an ESB employee died, this event will not take place out of respect for the relatives and colleagues. According to the ESB, they will try to find an alternative date.
