Construction site noise at Europaplatz
Reason: Use of high-pressure water jet during renovation work in the underground car park
Until the end of February 2024, there may be increased construction site noise on weekdays in Bocholt city centre at Europaplatz (bus station). This is due to the renovation of the underground car park under Europaplatz. A high-pressure water jet is being used for the work currently being carried out.
As you know, the ageing underground car park is currently undergoing a general refurbishment. In order to repair cracks, damaged areas in the concrete are being treated with a high-pressure water jet. The administration is endeavouring to keep noise disturbance to a minimum. Nevertheless, they cannot be completely avoided. The renovation of the underground car park should be completed by the end of 2024.
