Heavenly hiking and feasting
DAY 1: After checking in at a Bocholt **** hotel, you will make your way to the idyllically situated Bocholter Aasee, past the LWL Museum Textilwerk with its very special weaving mill and along the beautiful footpath and cycle path along the Bocholter Aa to the city centre. The colourful weekly market is held here four times a week in front of the historic town hall. Eating ice cream, strolling through the shopping streets and the shopping centre or lingering on the newly designed banks of the Aa, the city centre offers many possibilities. For dinner we suggest a choice of restaurants.
DAY 2: Today we go hiking in the Dingdener Heide nature reserve. Extensive stretches of land in the Hohe Mark Nature Park with a variety of meadows and heaths make you want to take a break from hiking. You might even spot storks in their nest at the vantage point.
The day is rounded off perfectly with a tasteful 3-course dinner in the evening at the **** hotel.
DAY 3: On the day of departure we recommend a hike through the Bocholt city forest with its old trees, past the game reserves towards Diepenbrock Castle.
Continue on to the neighbouring village of Rhede. Without ascents, forest paths lead through the Winkelhauser Berge and the Hohenhorster Berge nature reserve back to the hotel.
