Art and culture as bridge builders in the Grenzblickatelier in Suderwick
Event on Thursday, 16 November // Free admission
On Thursday, 16 November, EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt, the municipality of Aalten and the city of Bocholt, in conjunction with the German-Dutch Stammtisch, are inviting you to a special location. Mayor Stapelkamp from Aalten and Deputy Mayor Elisabeth Kroesen from Bocholt will discuss the importance of art and culture as bridge builders in a cross-border context.
Registration for this event is possible at www.vhs-bocholt.de or at the further education centre on Stenerner Weg on 02871 953-7697.
The organisers chose the Grenzblickatelier, Hahnenpatt 2 in Suderwick as the venue for the event, as art is often exhibited there in a cross-border context. Participants are invited to discuss the importance of art and culture as bridge builders over a free drink. "Especially in today's times, which are characterised by unrest and wars, art and culture can contribute to international understanding," says Sonja Wießmeier from EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt
No knowledge of Dutch is required for this event. Everyone speaks in their own language. If someone does not understand individual contributions, translation will be provided. The organisers would also like to point out that the German-Dutch Stammtisch is not a closed event, but that all citizens who are interested in the topic in question or Dutch customs in general are invited. The German-Dutch Stammtisch co-operates with the municipality of Aalten, the VHS Bocholt and the EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt.
