29th Bocholt Wine Festival from 25 - 27 July
The Bocholt Wine Festival, which takes place this year from 25 to 27 July , is a firm fixture in the diaries of many Bocholters and their guests. For the 29th time, seven winegrowers from the Palatinate will come to Bocholt and transform St.-Georg-Platz into a small wine village over these three days. Palatinate wines and other specialities can be enjoyed and tasted in a wine-loving atmosphere with a colourful music programme. The traditional Palatinate tarte flambée is also on offer.
The programme
On Friday, 25 July, the wine festival will be opened at 5 pm by Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, Wine Queen Barbara I and Ludger Dieckhues from Stadtmarketing Bocholt. The Sporker Musikanten will provide the atmosphere that evening.
On Saturday, 26 July, the wine festival will be open from 12 noon. The Start-Up Party Band will provide the party atmosphere from 5.00 pm.
On Sunday, 27 July, the wine festival will also open its doors from 12 noon. On this last day of the wine festival, the duo 'Boogie & more' will provide the background music from 2.30 pm.
Election of the Bocholt Wine King on Sunday
A highlight of the Bocholt Wine Festival is the coronation of the Wine King. Participation forms will be available at all wine stands during the wine festival until late in the evening on Saturday, 26 July. You can also complete the questionnaire online via a QR code on display during the wine festival weekend. "We hope for a lively participation - the prize is definitely something for wine lovers: a weekend in the Palatinate, a crate of wine donated by the Palatinate winegrowers, a gift from Juwelier Hermeier and two tickets for the Farmers Rock Festival in Lankern on 9 August," says City Marketing Director Ludger Dieckhues, who will perform the coronation together with the reigning Wine Queen, Barbara I.
The new Bocholt Wine Queen 2025 will be presented and crowned on Sunday, 27 July at 6.00 pm on St.-Georg-Platz.
The wine festival is organised by the Wirtschaftsförderungs- und Stadtmarketing Gesellschaft Bocholt. A big thank you goes to Bocholter Energie- und Wasserversorgung and Getränke Fako-M, who generously support the Bocholt Wine Festival.
