Road closures in Biemenhorst

Construction of a new transformer station // Parts of Fritz-Erler-Straße, Auf dem Takenkamp, Ernst-Reuter-Straße and Karl-Arnold-Straße will be affected

Due to the construction of a new transformer station in the Biemenhorst district, there will be temporary road closures on several streets from Wednesday 24 June 2026. The civil engineering works will affect sections of Fritz-Erler-Straße, Auf dem Takenkamp, Ernst-Reuter-Straße and Karl-Arnold-Straße. The project will be carried out in two phases and is expected to last until 24 July 2026.

The first phase of construction will focus on the area of Auf dem Takenkamp (at the junction with Julius-Vehorn-Weg) and Fritz-Erler-Straße (at the junction with Karl-Arnold-Straße).  In the subsequent second phase of construction, the works and the associated full road closures will shift to Fritz-Erler-Straße (in the area of Ernst-Reuter-Straße up to the junction with Karl-Arnold-Straße).
