Information on pensions

The Pensions Unit within the Social Affairs Department accepts applications for social security benefits (e.g. old-age pension, disability pension, survivor's pension, account reconciliation, etc.).

Staff in the Pensions Unit provide information on all matters relating to pension insurance. Legal advice is provided by the insurance providers or by the pensioners' representatives.

Receiving applications relating to contributions and benefits
The receiptof applicationsis to be regarded as the exercise of an intermediary role between the insured person and the insurance provider. Staff in the Pensions Department assist with the preparation of pension applications.
