Bocholt thanks volunteers: big thank-you party on 6 July at DJK Liedern

he city of Bocholt invites all voluntary and unpaid citizens to a big thank-you party on Sunday, 6 July 2025, from 2 p.m. on the club grounds of DJK Liedern. With this event, the city administration would like to show recognition and appreciation to the volunteers for their commitment.

The festival takes place on the grounds of the DJK Liedern at Hagelkreuz 1 in 46395 Bocholt. This special event celebrates voluntary work: Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, the department heads, council members and employees of the city administration take on the role of hosts on this day and personally cater for the physical well-being of the guests.

The city of Bocholt would like to set an example and thank all those involved who enrich life in the city through their voluntary work.

Registration is required to take part in the festival. Interested parties are asked to register by 16 June 2025 via the institution in which they work as a volunteer. Participating organisations will then receive tickets to distribute to their volunteers.

As the club grounds only have a limited capacity despite their size, there may be a quota allocation if demand is particularly high. If the event has to be moved to the Liederner Saal due to bad weather, different tickets will be available for fair weather and all-weather conditions. However, the city hopes for favourable weather conditions so that all registered guests can attend.
