FW Bocholt: Three weather-related operations after storms in the north of Bocholt

A brief but violent storm caused the Bocholt fire brigade to be called out due to the weather on Thursday afternoon. Between 3.03 p.m. and 5 p.m., the emergency services had to attend a total of three locations in the northern part of the city to clear fallen trees and secure hazardous areas.

The affected locations were on Barloer Ringstraße, Barloer Weg and Paul-Schneider-Weg. Here, strong gusts of wind had damaged or brought down several trees, forcing the fire brigade to take action.

In total, six members of the Bocholt fire brigade were deployed for around two hours. In addition to the direct measures taken by the fire brigade, some reports were also forwarded to the waste disposal and service company (ESB), which provided active support in clearing the weather-related faults.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated action of all those involved, the hazardous areas were quickly cleared and the affected areas reopened.
