Most people find young fox cubs cute. Even in our big cities, foxes are sighted again and again, because the fox is a so-called cultural successor.

Lecture highlight at the opening of the semester: Germany's last WILDNIS - The return of nature?

Friday, 8 September // Aula der Gesamtschule Bocholt, Rheinstr. 4 // Admission 7€ (reduced 6,50€), box office 8€/7€

On Friday, 8 September, the VHS Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg, the JUNGE UNI in Bocholt, the Fabi Bocholt and the Stadtsparkasse Bocholt jointly invite you to an event highlight on the occasion of the opening of the 2023/2 semester. Animal photographer Sven Meurs will present his latest nature documentary entitled "Germany's Last WILDNESS - The Return of Nature? The venue is the auditorium of the Bocholt Comprehensive School. Tickets at www.vhs-bocholt.de or at the VHS offices

Sven Meurs is touring Germany with his new lecture. For years, the nature and environmental photographer has been portraying the local wildlife and landscape and at the same time documenting how nature is becoming more and more restricted. Amazingly, however, even some rare animals manage to come to terms with humans and reclaim territory.

For five years, Sven Meurs travelled all over Germany - from the mining areas in the east to the plains of the Lower Rhine in the west, and from the coasts of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea to the peaks of the Alps in the far south. In the process, he photographed all the beauty, peculiarity and fragility of our nature. Thanks to clever camouflage and the patience of an angel, he managed to take unique pictures. With a lot of expert knowledge and a good pinch of humour, the speaker describes the results and experiences of his search and provides some ideas for more sustainable action at the same time.

The lecture is suitable for young and old. The event begins at 7:30 pm, admission from 7:00 pm. Adults pay €7 in advance or €6.50 for schoolchildren and trainees if they register online. Tickets at the box office cost €8, reduced €7. There is an additional reduction with a family pass. Further information and registration at the VHS office in Bocholt, Stenerner Weg 14a, the VHS branches in Rhede and Isselburg or as an online reservation at www.vhs-bocholt.de.
