What is the content of the training?

The three-and-a-half-year training takes place at the Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb (ESB) of the city of Bocholt, whereby the theoretical knowledge is supported by attendance at the Berufskolleg Bocholt-West.

The 1st and 2nd years of training include:

measuring and testing various systems
operating vehicles and systems,
assembling, dismantling and repairing motor vehicles, components, assemblies and systems, and
Inspecting motor vehicles in accordance with road traffic regulations.

The 3rd and 4th years of training comprise:

the maintenance of power transmission systems,
Retrofitting and commissioning of auxiliary systems,
Testing and repairing electro-pneumatic and electro-hydraulic systems, and
carrying out service and repair work for a statutory inspection.

After completing vocational training, motor vehicle mechatronics technicians find employment opportunities

in motor vehicle service companies such as repair shops of the motor vehicle trade and repair shops of vehicle manufacturers,
at breakdown services,
in car dealerships and
at spare parts dealers with affiliated workshops
