Aasee Festival in Bocholt from 15 - 17 August 2025 at the bathing bay
A weekend full of music, games, enjoyment and good humour at Lake Aasee
From 15 to 17 August, the bathing bay at Lake Aa in Bocholt will be transformed into a colourful festival mile with music, hands-on activities, delicious food and cool drinks. In addition to the RADIO WMW stage programme, there will be a large children's play area, food trucks, drinks stands and the Bocholt beach café - a festival for the whole family.
Friday, 15 August - Festival start & DJ Alex Fietz
The festival starts at 4 pm with the children's play area, relaxed music, street food and cool drinks. In the evening, DJ Alex Fietz will be spinning his mix of EDM, current charts and party hits to get the stage shaking - the perfect start to the festival weekend - danceable, full of energy and guaranteed to get you going.
Saturday, 16 August - Children's disco & video DJ show

The festival site will be open from 12 noon and from 3.30 pm Volker Rosin will be live at Bocholter Aasee with the "Animal Children's Disco".
One of Germany's most popular children's songwriters will ensure an exuberant atmosphere:
With hits such as "Baby Hai", "The Singing Kangaroo" and "Hoppelhase Hans", Volker Rosin gets children and parents alike singing and dancing. After the concert, there are autographs and selfies with the likeable star. Highlight for little sweet-tooths: in the afternoon, Cloetta Deutschland GmbH (RED BAND) will be handing out sweet surprises to the children.
On Saturday evening, video DJ Udo Sandmann takes over the helm. With music videos of the biggest hits from the 90s, 2000s and up to the present day, he will create a dancing mood, nostalgia and festival atmosphere on the big screen - this multimedia mix will bring back memories and provide a rousing show to sing along to, dance to and marvel at.
Sunday, 17 August - Family afternoon with RADIO WMW
From 2 p.m., RADIO WMW will ensure a good mood at the family-friendly festival finale:
Presentations, music and competitions on stage offer the best entertainment for young and old. A relaxed afternoon right by the water to join in, listen and enjoy.
Further highlights around the festival
Dinghy sailing for everyone - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm
The Sporthochsee-Segler-Gemeinschaft Bocholt-Rhede e. V. invites you to a free taster sailing session on Saturday at the jetty (near McDonald's).
Everyone, whether beginner or advanced, can come on board - under the guidance of experienced club members.
Bocholt Classic Meeting - Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The largest classic car meeting in the region also takes place at the Aasee:
At the "Bocholt Classic Meeting", proud owners present their automotive treasures on the festival meadow on the west bank of the Aasee (Im Königsesch).
