Vandalism on the playground "Am Rosenberg
Hangelleiter vandalized // City appeals to report damage and contamination
In the first week of January of the new year, residents reported damage to a piece of playground equipment at the "Am Rosenberg" playground. Some of the fastenings on the ladder were torn out. The equipment is closed until further notice for safety reasons.
"Unfortunately, vandalism and soiling are not isolated incidents and occur again and again at playgrounds. This is not only a pity because of the playground equipment, which then has to be repaired or cleaned at great expense, but also very dangerous for the children playing there," says the city's youth welfare office.
The city of Bocholt spends a lot of work and money every year to keep the playgrounds in a safe and good condition for children, families and young people. Therefore, users and residents are asked to report vandalism and hazards on Bocholt playgrounds as well as soiling, e.g. by dog excrement, directly. Damage can be reported by calling 02871 953-175.
