Jugend musiziert: Two music students have qualified for the state competition

NRW state competition from 20 to 24 March in Dortmund // Two pupils from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school take part

Once again this year, a total of 12 pupils from Bocholt achieved outstanding results at the regional level of the 63rd "Jugend musiziert" competition. Music students Matilda Varone and Katharina Theling qualified for the NRW state competition, which will take place in Dortmund from 20 to 24 March.

The two young musicians are competing in the "Chamber music for string instruments (mixed ensembles)" category in age group IV. In this category, in addition to technical ability, musical interaction, expression and interpretation are particularly important.

On 21 March 2026, they will travel to Dortmund to put their skills to the test. The students were prepared by their music school teachers Gabriele Nußberger and Christiane Schröder, who will also accompany and support them at the competition.

The music school team is proud of the two young talents' qualification and wishes them every success, strong nerves and, above all, lots of fun making music together for their performance at the state competition.
