Training for voluntary legal carers, authorised representatives and interested parties
Free event on 19 May 2025 between 6:30 pm and 9 pm // Registration required
As part of the "Gut geschult - Gut vertreten" training programme, a training course for voluntary legal guardians, authorised representatives and interested parties will take place on 19 May 2025.
Alina Reiberg, a member of staff at the SkF (Sozialdienste katholischer Frauen Bocholt e.V.) care organisation and legal guardian, will give a presentation during the training course on placement under guardianship law and the special features of dealing with health care.
The procedural approach "Werdenfelser Weg" emerged from a growing nationwide initiative in which people working in the care sector are committed to minimising the use of restraints on sick and elderly people. Since the implementation of the Werdenfelser Weg method, these restraint measures have been greatly reduced.
In rare cases, however, it is still possible to be confronted with issues such as the use of bed rails or placement in locked facilities. The training aims to support the voluntary legal carers in dealing with this situation. It shows which aspects need to be taken into account and provides participants with assistance and alternatives to restraint measures. The legal basis is also considered.
The training programme takes place in the barrier-free training room of the care association of the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen Bocholt e.V. in Lagenbergstraße 18. Binding registration is required by calling 02871/25 18 220.
The event is a cooperation event of the working group for the care system (care authority of the city of Bocholt, care associations of the SkF Bocholt and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt Bocholt) in the city of Bocholt and is organised by the care association of the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen Bocholt e.V.
