Brit Pic in the kubaaiSuccessful "Brit Pic" as part of the Münsterland Picnic Days
British and Irish music and treats on the kubaai site
Over 40 visitors came to the "Brit Pic" at the kubaai cultural centre last weekend. In bright sunshine and a fresh breeze, the guests enjoyed the British flair with colourful hats, chequered blankets and culinary delights. The British picnic in Bocholt took place as part of the Münsterland Picnic Days 2025.
Deputy Mayor Gudrun Koppers was delighted that so many guests had come to the "5th Brit Pic" on the tree-lined lawn at the LWL-Museum Textilwerk Bocholt. A special greeting went to the numerous dogs that were at home on (almost) every picnic blanket. Among them were four Corgis, whose masters and mistresses had travelled all the way from Cologne for the "Brit Pic". Those present were also welcomed by the deputy chairwoman of the German-British Society Bocholt e.V., Christel Schilderink.
Successful mix of culture and cosiness
The event, organised by Tourist-Info Bocholt, the city of Bocholt, EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt and the German-British Society Bocholt, was part of the Münsterland Picnic Days and offered a successful mix of British culture and Münsterland conviviality. The visitors had brought their own picnic baskets and laid the tables in style with china, flowers and numerous British delicacies.
Entertainment with British and Irish music
Musician Ralf Rademacher from Bocholt created an excellent atmosphere. He entertained the guests with Irish folk and well-known British folk songs. The visitors enjoyed singing along to these songs. At the end of the successful "Brit Pic", the chairman of the German-British Society Bocholt took the opportunity to thank the musician, the numerous guests and the organisers for this wonderful picnic in the spirit of Great Britain.
