The special film "Ticket to Life"
Romantic French comedy // Screening on Tuesday 14 July 2026 at 8 pm at the Kinodrom // Admission €7
As part of the "KINO Bocholt - the special film" series, the romantic comedy "Ticket to Life" will be screened on Tuesday 14 July 2026. A famous singer-songwriter (Gérard Darmon) is planning his retirement, but his chaotic and warm-hearted admirer (Valérie Lemercier) turns everything upside down. French light-heartedness meets new beginnings.
The chanson singer Antoine Toussaint has been a celebrated star for decades. When he collapses on stage, it seems his career is over. Disappointed, he plans his retirement and takes the next train to Geneva. But the journey turns out differently than expected, for in his compartment he meets the spirited Victoire - a fervent admirer of the singer with unshakeable optimism. Antoine tries to get rid of her quickly, but Victoire isn't so easily shaken off and - without realising it - throws his plans to end his life into disarray. To his great surprise, he slowly begins to warm to the lively pain in the neck. With plenty of humour and typical French light-heartedness, TICKET TO LIFE tells the story of unexpected new beginnings and late-in-life happiness.
The film runs for 91 minutes.
Directed by Jean-Pierre Améris.
