"The Frog Prince" inspires

Puppetry Days 2023 launched with great success

On Sunday, 5 February, the first Puppet Play Days 2023 took place at the Alte Molkerei cultural venue. At 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., the Lille Kartofler puppet theatre delighted the numerous children, who were also busy helping to tell the story of the "Frog Prince".

Children helped

The narrator Matthias Kuchta took the children into the world of the Frog Prince. During the play, the children checked whether, for example, their blanket was big enough for the princess, practised kissing with the frog or learned that sweets make holes in the queen's teeth. At the end of the play, the children diligently counted the wheels of the carriage. Finally, they all imitated the sounds of the carriage together and practised the final sentences of the princess and the prince with their companions.

Enthusiasm

In both performances, the Lille Kartofler Theatre thrilled the children. But not only the children went home happy. The children's escorts were also carried away, laughing and supporting the children.

The puppet show day was organised by the Department of Culture and Education in cooperation with the Stadttheater Bocholt e.V. and the Kulturort Alte Molkerei.
