Collection for popular ESB bulky waste exchange starts

Finally, it's starting again. After two years of Corona break, the waste advisory service of the Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb (ESB) is pleased to be able to offer the popular bulky waste exchange again. From now on, items in good condition will be collected at the recycling center. These items will then be sold at the bulky waste exchange on May 21.

The proceeds of the bulky waste exchange are donated to the Tafel Bocholt. So that also some for the sales comes together the waste consultation of the ESB calls now to the Bringer or to the Bringerin to become.

In the cellar, on the attic, in cabinets and in chests some treasure accumulated that is too good to throw away. These old treasures are gladly accepted by the recycling center for sale at the bulky waste exchange. During opening hours, well-preserved items can be handed in, such as decorative items, toys, chairs, tables, chests of drawers, garden furniture or pictures.

"Experience shows that the things that go best are those that you can easily tuck under your arm or pack in your trunk," explains waste consultant Petra Tacke. Curiosities are also very popular. Large pieces of furniture such as cupboards, on the other hand, rarely find a buyer.

Tips and rules for handing in

To ensure that as much as possible can be reused, the waste consultant offers a few tips:

Fragile items such as porcelain, ceramics or glass should please be securely packed in a cardboard box.
Items cannot be picked up. Please deliver them yourself during the opening hours of the recycling center.
The employees at the recycling center decide on site, based on many years of experience, whether something is usable for the bulky waste exchange.
The items collected for the bulky waste exchange will be sold exclusively at the bulky waste exchange on May 21. Reservations or even advance sales are not possible.

Tuesday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
