City Food Festival is in the starting blocks: Culinary diversity and new experience mile

In just under two weeks, the time has come: from 29 to 31 May 2026, Bocholt's city centre will once again be transformed into a huge food mile. The City Food Festival is growing significantly this year and will extend from St.-Georg-Platz to Ravardistraße for the first time.

Visitors can expect a varied range of international specialities, creative street food concepts and regional classics.

Diverse offerings on St.-Georg-Platz

Numerous food trucks and stalls will be presenting their culinary ideas on St.-Georg-Platz. They include, among others:

The festival thus offers a wide selection - from hearty meat dishes, vegetarian delicacies and international cuisine to snacks, drinks and sweet specialities.

Ravardistraße becomes a street food mile

Ravardistraße will also be actively involved in the festival this year and will develop into a lively promenade. As well as additional stalls, numerous local catering businesses will be participating directly in front of their premises.

The mixture of established catering establishments and additional street food offers creates a special atmosphere and invites you to linger and relax.

Traffic regulations during the event

There will be temporary traffic changes for the duration of the festival:

From Thursday, 28 May 2026 (set-up) to Sunday, 31 May 2026 (end of event), Brückenstraße and St.-Georg-Platz will be closed to through traffic.

• Closure from the Schanze / Brückenstraße junction due to barriers

Residents are asked for their understanding.

Enjoyment, music and city centre flair

In addition to the culinary offerings, an accompanying music programme with DJs and live music (Acoustic Affairs, Get Lost) will create the right festival atmosphere at St.-Georg-Platz and Ravardistraße. Admission is free.
