Summer highlight returns to the city centre

Bocholt. Refreshment, exercise and bright summer evenings: After the great popularity of the past two years, the "Bocholt Water Fun" will once again bring life to the market square in 2026. Every day from 7 July to 9 August, the popular PlayFountain will transform the market square in front of the historic town hall into a lively meeting place for families, children and visitors.

The modern water attraction with its 1,024 computer-controlled jets provides a variety of experiences: Sometimes fountains up to four metres high shoot into the sky, sometimes interactive play areas are created that invite visitors to join in. The offer is complemented by atmospheric light and music shows, which create a special atmosphere, especially in the evening hours.

Every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the water fun offers a successful mix of cooling off, games and entertainment - free of charge and right in the heart of the city. While children run wildly through the water fields, accompanying adults can make themselves comfortable in the deckchairs provided or watch the hustle and bustle from the surrounding cafés. For added comfort, the facility will be adapted in windy weather to ensure a pleasant stay for everyone.

The event is part of the city centre strategy "Collective System Change", with which Bocholt is creating a targeted quality of stay and strengthening the city centre as an experience space. In particular, the focus is on offers for families - a wish that has been expressed by many citizens.

The official opening will take place on Thursday, 7 July, at 5 pm. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend and start a refreshing Bocholt summer together.
