Children's fun with Volker Rosin

All families should make a note of Saturday 16 August in their diaries, as the popular children's songwriter will be performing his programme "Animal Children's Disco" from 3.30 pm. There will also be tasty treats, Red Band distributed to all the children. And of course the children's play area is open every day, so they can climb to their heart's content, jump on the bungee trampoline or the bouncy castles or simply build with XXL building blocks. The Aasee Festival offers children's fun at its best.

Arrival and parking with consideration for local residents

"We are already asking all out-of-town guests who have to travel by car to use the designated car parks around Bocholter Aasee and to show consideration for local residents", says city marketing employee Anna Schmitz. "The streets and the housing estate behind Bocholter Badebucht are very narrow and there have been problems with cars parking incorrectly at past events", continued Schmitz.

In order to keep the housing estate and the driveways of the Aasee residents free, the city marketing department refers to the following surrounding car parks:

- At the Aasee Bocholt leisure centre, Hochfeldstraße 56b

- Uhlandstraße 50 at the LWL-Museum Textilwerk

- Im Königsesch 5 at Mc Donalds

- Im Königsesch 39 at the Kneipp association

- Park & Ride car park Am Ostring

All bicycles should be parked in the large car park directly behind the bathing bay on Hohenhorster Straße - the THW-Jugend Bocholt provides support here so that as many bicycles as possible fit in the car park.

Further highlights around the festival

Great food trucks and delicious drinks:
On all three festival days, guests can look forward to delicious culinary offerings such as pizza, snacks, crêpes & poffertjes, sweets, cocktails, coffee and much more. "We appeal to all visitors to dispose of rubbish of any kind in the rubbish bins provided and not simply leave it at the picnic areas or on the meadow!", Anna Schmitz hopes that the public leisure facilities will be kept clean, which unfortunately has not always been the case in the past.
