Noaberpad
The signposted hiking route "Noaberpad" meanders along the German/Dutch border. The name of this hiking route refers to the neighbourhood of the two countries.
This hiking trail leads along former smugglers' paths along the German/Dutch border from Bad Nieuweschans in Holland via Bocholt to Kleve am Rhein in Germany. The hiking trail is 415 kilometres long in total.
Our tip: Start in Winterswijk in the Netherlands, with its many small farming communities called "buurtschappen", cross Oeding and Bocholt-Barlo on beautiful paths, walk through the city forest, past the Aasee lake and along the Aa river to the city centre.
The Noaberpad is marked with internationally recognised markings for continuous hiking trails.
