Cabaret: The United Dreams of Europe

Sebastian Schnoy comes to LernWerk // Free event on 28 May 2026 from 7 pm // EUROPE DIRECT and Europa-Union Bocholt e.V. invite you to attend

As part of this year's Europe Weeks, the Hamburg cabaret artist, speaker and author Sebastian Schnoy is coming to Bocholt at the invitation of the Europa-Union Bocholt e.V., district association in the Euregio. On 28 May, he will take a spirited and profound look at the European Union with wit and comedy. The event is free of charge and includes a drink and a snack.

Schnoy's programme "The United Dreams of Europe" is a declaration of love to an underestimated continent. According to Schnoy, Europe was never the problem, but always the solution. A free and united part of Europe is still a place of longing for displaced persons, whether from Ukraine or other countries. Sebastian Schnoy therefore wonders why the Europeans who inhabit Europe often fail to see its splendour.

In contrast, some countries have been waiting a long time to be accepted into the EU, including Montenegro. According to Sebastian Schnoy, another country missing from the EU is Scotland. Schnoy is founding his United States of Europe with the participants in this programme. Even Canada would like to join his beautiful Europe Club. Schnoy achieves in one evening what politics cannot. The programme will be followed by a discussion over drinks and a snack.
