Waste collection postponed due to Ascension Day

Waste collection takes place one day later

On Thursday, 14 May 2026, there will be no waste collection by Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt (ESB) due to the public holiday. The residual waste bins, yellow bins and paper bins, which are usually emptied on Thursdays, will not be collected until Friday. The residual waste collection that usually takes place on Fridays will be postponed to Saturday.

Emptying before the public holiday will take place as usual. The ESB waste advisory service would like to point out that waste bins must generally be placed on the street by 6 a.m. on the collection day.

All dates are listed in the current waste calendar of the city of Bocholt. In addition, the ESB offers all information online, whereby the data can be customised to the respective street in the waste navigation system at www.bocholt.de/abfall-navi. For mobile use, the administration recommends the waste app, which reliably reminds users of all upcoming dates via smartphone and keeps them up to date at all times.
