30th Bocholt Wine Festival, 24-26 July 2026

Bocholt. On the last weekend in July, the Bocholt Wine Festival will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. This year, eight winegrowers from the Palatinate will be guests at St. Georg's Square, meaning the festival will gain another wine stall and extend towards Ravardistraße. In a convivial atmosphere accompanied by a varied programme of music, visitors can enjoy and sample wines from the Palatinate and other specialities. The traditional Palatinate tarte flambée will also be on offer.

The Bocholt Wine Festival programme

On Friday, 24 July, the wine festival will be opened at 5.00 pm by Mayor Christian Mangen, the reigning Wine Queen Mona I and Ludger Dieckhues from Bocholt City Marketing. The Sporker Musikanten will provide the musical entertainment that evening.

On Saturday, 25 July, the Wine Festival opens at 12:00. From 17:00, the party atmosphere kicks off with dance music from MC King.

On Sunday, 26 July, the wine festival will also open its doors at 12.00. On the third day of the festival, the lively duo "Boogie & more" will provide musical entertainment from the afternoon into the evening.

Coronation of the new Wine Queen or Wine King

A highlight of the Bocholt Wine Festival every year is the coronation of the Wine Queen. Entry forms will be available at all wine stalls throughout the festival, up to and including Saturday 25 July, late into the evening. There will also be a QR code on the tables at the festival, which interested candidates can use to apply online. "We're hoping for a lively turnout once again - the prize is certainly something for wine lovers: A weekend in the Palatinate, a mixed case of wine donated by the Palatinate winegrowers, a special gift from Hermeier Jewellers, and two tickets for the WattExtra Open Air featuring PHIL in September," Ludger Dieckhues, Managing Director of Stadtmarketing, is already looking forward to this cosy midsummer festival.

The new Bocholt Wine Queen or King for 2026 will be presented and crowned on Sunday 26 July at 6.00 pm on St Georg's Square.
