On 28 October 2025, the election of the Youth Welfare Office Parents' Advisory Board (JAEB) for the 2025/26 kindergarten year took place in Bocholt. The parents' councils of the 40 daycare centres in Bocholt as well as representatives from the daycare sector were invited.
The Youth Welfare Office Parents' Advisory Council is an independent body that represents the interests of parents vis-à-vis the Youth Welfare Office and the providers of daycare centres. In addition, the JAEB supports the parents' councils in their work, sends delegates to the youth welfare committee of the city of Bocholt and liaises closely with the NRW state parents' council.
A total of 37 parents' councils from 24 centres took part in the event. The Youth and Family Department first provided information about the tasks and structures of the committee. Ten participants then declared their willingness to become actively involved in the Youth Welfare Office Parents' Council.
Lena Kamps was elected as the new chairperson, with Franziska Bischop as her deputy. Christian van Bebber was delegated to the state parents' council, Hannes Teuber is his deputy. Lisa Winter, represented by Lena-Maria Göcke, will act as an advisory member of the Youth Welfare Committee in future. Mareike Niehaus, Nele Geke, Lisa Löhring and Sandra Stahl-Lazni will serve as assessors.
