A Cinematic Experience In Modern Creative Music
You can describe the music of the Henning Neidhardt Trio as "pouw, zisch, pfiiii, knark, pfooi and pwieuw" or, as the trade journal Jazzthing put it, "in the improvisations, a kaleidoscope of sounds unfolds, which you can listen to with concentration, but also lose yourself in". All of this is ultimately up to the listener, and so Henning Neidhardt, Duy Luong and Karl-F. Degenhardt invite their audience on a journey into their own thoughts, memories and futures. The three musicians met during their jazz studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts, have been playing together in this formation since 2019 and have been developing their very own experimental sound worlds ever since.
On this afternoon in the Alte Molkerei, the trio will also present three of their short films and integrate them into their sound worlds. The musicians Lea Pleines on harp, Qin Tang on Chinese guzheng and Shabnam Parvaresh on bass clarinet will be introduced.
