"Physically I'm on Earth, mentally I'm in the galaxies and spiritually I'm in a whole other dimension."

Martina Szoltysek was born in 1992 in Bocholt, Germany, where she still lives today. In addition to her work in office management, she is building up a second professional pillar with painting - a project close to her heart that has accompanied her since childhood.

Martina often spent her childhood with her family in Poland. There she developed a deep connection to nature, art and esotericism at an early age. She was less fascinated by concrete representations and more drawn to the freedom of the abstract. Curiosity about human and natural processes characterised her creative perspective and became the foundation of her artistic expression.

"Even as a small child, I knew that I wanted and needed to express myself to my fellow human beings through my creativity."

Before discovering her passion for painting, she was involved in various sports and creative projects - including building battery-powered boats. Eventually, she found her true passion in art and began creating abstract works. Acrylic became her favourite medium.

Her artistic journey began with acrylic moulding, but increasingly developed into a strong love of aesthetics. She finds inspiration in artists such as Sandro Botticelli, Stanislav Szukalski and Michelangelo. Masters whose works always reveal new levels on closer inspection.

"Art in which you lose yourself."

For Martina, painting is an intensive, almost meditative process: it begins with an idea, grows into a sketch and culminates in the finished work of art. Each picture tells its own story and carries a clear message.

Some works deliberately dispense with bold colours in order to emphasise the expressiveness. By using a variety of techniques - including palette knife technique, watercolours, biros drawings, geometric shapes, wax crayons and the use of quartz sand - she creates natural structures that take the viewer out of everyday life.

Current exhibition - The world of Greek mythology Following her successful first exhibition, Martina Szoltysek now presents the fascinating world of Greek mythology. In her new works, she depicts mythological characters and their stories in an impressive way.

In this exhibition, visitors can discover artistic interpretations of figures such as Hades, Medusa, Charon and Artemis.

But they are not just pictures - they are gateways to a world full of gods, legends and timeless conflicts.

Martina's art invites us to delve deeper: into emotions, into symbolism, into parallels between ancient myths and our lives today. After all, many of the challenges that the gods once faced are also reflected in the experiences of humans. This connection makes her works particularly approachable and mystical at the same time.
