The children's disco starts again!
Disco fun from year 1 to year 5
Once a month from 18:00 to 21:00, the music is turned up in the parish hall cellar (St.-Georg-Platz 1). We play, laugh and of course dance together! You can buy a drink and sweets for little money. Water is free.
The programme is aimed at children from Year 1 to Year 5 and is free of charge. Prior registration is not necessary.
How much money should I give my child?
In principle, your child does not need any money. Admission is free, water and iced tea are free. We sell bags of sweets and crisps at the bar for 50 ct each and soft drinks (Fanta and Sprite) for €1 each. Here 2-3 € should be sufficient. We ask you to give the children coins.
How does the children's disco work?
We open our doors from 6 pm. We have set up a table right at the entrance where we collect your child's name, age, address and an emergency contact. The dance floor will open in the basement at the same time. Song requests are very welcome! The children can buy drinks and sweets at our bar. In summer, due to the temperatures, we sometimes extend the dance floor to the neighbouring parish hall garden. For the children who need a break from the loud music, we have a "playroom" on the ground floor where various board games are available. In another room on the ground floor, various other games are offered throughout the evening, such as "Journey to Jerusalem" or "Werewolf".
The children are supervised throughout the evening by two professionals and a large pool of qualified volunteer youth leaders. We will of course make sure that your child does not leave the premises during the event.
Can I bring my child later or pick them up earlier?
Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible between 6 and 9 pm. The table at the entrance is manned the whole time. From experience, we can say that most children are brought in by 6.30 pm and the first children (usually the younger ones) are picked up again from 8 pm.
