Spooky fun at the Halloween walk in the Fildeken-Rosenberg urban district

Again this year many small and big guests // Action in the context of the neighborhood work to strengthen social cohesion

A Halloween walk has now taken place again in the Fildeken-Rosenberg district. "After we were virtually overrun last year, it was clear to us that we wanted to do it again this year," says Agnes Wellkamp from the neighborhood management. And the fun was again well received: around 120 children came with their parents in mild temperatures to get a little spooky together.

Starting at 3 p.m., children could have their makeup done as a witch, fairy or vampire by employees and volunteers in the cellar meeting place of the jusina e. V. association and in the "QuartiersHaus" on Saarstraße.

Before the long procession made its way through Fildeken, reading mentor Manuela Raab put the little guests in the mood for the walk with a spooky story, stopping off at the atmospherically decorated "witches' cottage" on the Rosenberg.

Here, the children participated in the prepared games and had a lot of fun. Afterwards, the troop of little zombies, skeletons, witches, wizards, pumpkins and numerous other disguises set off for the final stop on the green area on Scheibenstraße.

Costumes awarded

After all the little guests had been given "sweets" so that there would be nothing "trick-or-treat", the parents could enjoy the early evening before the best costumes were awarded prizes at the end. "And the choice was really not easy, because all children and parents had really made an effort," report the organizers.

All in all, it was another successful evening and once again a great joint project within the framework of the neighborhood work with the cooperation partners L-i-A e. V., jusina e. V. and Freizeitanlage Aasee Bocholt e. V.. Thanks to the parish St.-Josef for the use of the area around the "Hexenhäuschen".

Background

The Halloween walk was made possible by the Verfügungsfonds, which is provided by the federal government, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Bocholt as part of the "Socially Integrative City" urban development program. The city of Bocholt promotes neighborhood work to strengthen social cohesion and social structures in Bocholt's neighborhoods.
