"Health guides" wanted for Bocholt

Bocholt wants to promote the health of its citizens. A new project is intended to contribute to this by training volunteer "health guides". The city of Bocholt has now launched the project, which is sponsored by the health insurance company "IKK classic", with an information event. It was well received: More than 30 participants from various associations, companies, care facilities, daycare centers and schools were present.

Training in the Europa House at the end of September

In the next step, interested participants can be trained as community health pilots through the certified academy "Netzwerkstatt" and subsequently actively participate in the design of the next project steps. The training course will take place over two days at the Europahaus in Bocholt: Thursday, September 29 from 9 am - 5 pm and on Friday, September 30 from 9 am - 1 pm.

Interested citizens are cordially invited to attend the training course to become a community health pilot. "Feel free to get involved and take an active role in shaping the future!" say the organizers. Participation is free of charge due to project funding by IKK Classic. Successful start

After introductory words from Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, the project managers from the DSPN network presented the project, which has the goal of "networking the actors of all living environments and continuously improving the quality of life and health in the community through a process-oriented approach." In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Mathias Bellinghausen outlined the importance and benefits of community health promotion and prevention.

In moderated workshops, initial ideas for suitable measures in the municipality were already collected and an outlook for further steps was developed.
