Storm warning: Also on Friday it can blow strongly

Bocholt has escaped lightly so far // Fire department and ESB clean up storm damage

The storm over Germany has so far been mild from Bocholt's point of view: Yesterday, the Bocholt fire department was called out to a total of 15 incidents. They were actively supported by employees of the Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt (ESB), who were on duty from 3 a.m. onwards to repair storm damage.

On Dinxperloer Straße, for example, a linden tree crashed into a car, and on Barloer Weg a maple tree fell. Fortunately, no one was injured.
From today, Friday 18 February from 16 o'clock, until into the night it can blow again violently, informs the German Weather Service:
"Gale-force gusts with speeds between 90 km/h and 115 km/h will occur from a westerly direction. Near showers and in exposed locations, gale-force winds of up to 120 km/h must be expected."
The fire department and ESB are again on alert.
