FW Bocholt: Traffic accident on the B473 in Bocholt
Bocholt fire brigade (ots) -
Shortly after 4.00 a.m., the Bocholt fire brigade was called to a traffic accident involving two vehicles on the Bundesstraße 473 in Bocholt.
After the initial investigation at the scene, it was determined that there were a total of 6 people in the two vehicles.
When the emergency services arrived, one person was still trapped in one of the vehicles and died at the scene of the accident.
The other people, some of whom were seriously injured, were given initial treatment by the emergency services and driven to neighbouring hospitals in the Borken and Wesel districts and to Gelsennkirchen.
A total of 3 emergency vehicles from the Bocholt fire brigade, 5 ambulances, 1 emergency doctor, the chief emergency doctor from the Borken district and an organisational head of the rescue service were at the scene.
The Bundesstraße 473 is currently still closed for the accident investigation by a specialised police accident investigation team.
