Bocholt Water Fun from 7 July to 9 August 2026

Bocholt. This coming Friday, 3 July, work will begin on setting up Bocholt's popular water play area on the market square in front of the historic town hall. First, the base for the water play area will be laid in the afternoon. This will be followed by the actual construction and installation of the water play area.

On Tuesday 7 July at 5 pm, the "PlayFountain" will then be officially commissioned and opened. The water play area in the middle of the market square will then invite all young (and old) visitors to the town centre to play, cool off and linger until 9 August - hopefully in lovely summer weather.

Due to major construction work in the city centre, Königstraße cannot be closed to traffic whilst the PlayFountain is in operation. However, the section of the road will be secured with appropriate barriers.

A variety of play programmes will be on offer

The water jets of the interactive fountain are programmable and offer a wide range of interactive games. Children - and adults too - usually discover the various play options quite intuitively. Games such as "Racing Cars" or "Maze" provide plenty of fun for young and old alike and help cool off in the summer heat.
