Specialist strengthens practice team on Dinxperloer Straße

Lotus Morshed has been supporting her husband Bassel Kanafani in their joint family practice for a few weeks now // Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff visits practice

The family practice at Dinxperloer Straße 5e has recently been joined by another doctor: Lotus Morshed, who comes from Syria, has been treating patients there since October. Now Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff visited the practice and congratulated her on joining the practice.

Medical profession "a real affair of the heart

The medical profession is a real affair of the heart for her, says Lotus Morshed. Since 2020, her husband Bassel Kanafani has been running the practice on Dinxperloer Straße as a specialist in internal medicine, which he took over from Dr. Raoul Bongartz. Since October, she herself has been strengthening the practice team as a specialist in general medicine.

Bassel Kanafani and Lotus Morshed moved to Bocholt in 2017. Previously, Kanafani worked as a physician at the hospital in Vreden. "When we visited Bocholt for the first time, we knew immediately that we wanted to live here," Lotus Morshed recalls. For both of them, working in the practice and being close to and working with patients is especially important. "We can't imagine anything else," says Bassel Kanafani.

Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff now congratulated Morshed on the new job. "We are glad that more and more physicians are choosing our city," Kerkhoff said. Lotus Morshed was supported on her way to professional recognition in Germany by the BOHRIS doctors' network. In addition to Morshed and Kanafani, Dr. Raoul Bongartz also continues to work as an expert in the practice.
