Industrial railway line Bocholt: Sustainable logistics for the Mussum industrial park

The city of Bocholt is making the railway fit for the future again. The industrial trunk track in the Mussum industrial park is about to be reopened and offers companies an efficient, environmentally friendly alternative to road transport.

What is the industrial railway?

The industrial main line is a public railway infrastructure that connects the Mussum Industrial Park directly to the (supra-regional) rail network. It is used to transport goods and enables companies to deliver or remove goods directly by rail.

The city of Bocholt is currently repairing the infrastructure in close cooperation with a railway operations manager in order to be able to start operations as soon as possible.

Your advantages: Economic power meets climate protection

Switching to rail is worthwhile - for your company and the environment:

  • Cost efficiency: transport large quantities of goods at attractive conditions.
  • Planning security: reliable logistics, regardless of traffic jams and road closures
  • Sustainability: Significant reduction in CO₂ emissions and traffic noise.
  • Location advantage: Increased attractiveness of your business thanks to a direct railway siding.

How to use the track

If you are interested in using the industrial siding, you can use or apply for a new siding under certain conditions. The railway company that is to use the track must conclude an infrastructure usage agreement with the city of Bocholt. Proof of the railway company's insurance and its operating licence in accordance with §7 AEG must also be submitted as part of this process.

You will find the necessary information and forms below on this page. The booking of times on the industrial railway is made via the city's ANNY booking system.
