Digital building applications

Since 1 January 2024, the North Rhine-Westphalian legislator has made it possible to submit building applications completely online. You can find out everything you need to know about digital applications on this page.

  • Required building documents (further information can be found here)

You can submit the building application under the following link: bocholt.meinamt.digital

These applications are currently possible

  • Simplified building permit procedure
  • Building permit procedure
  • Preliminary decision
  • Isolated application for deviation, exception and exemption
  • Exemption from authorisation
  • Application for division of land

Instructions/insight into the portal

Here youwill find a quick guide, including screenshots.

Notes on creating and setting up files

Please prepare and upload the relevant documents in accordance with the following instructions:

  • Each individual building application must be saved as a single file
  • File size: max. 500 MB
  • Name the file according to its content and date of creation (e.g. Official Site Plan 2025_10_05)

Please note that the portal offers wizard-assisted forms, meaning that in some cases it is not necessary to download the annexes to the VVBauPrüfVO beforehand. This currently applies, for example, to the

  • the planning application itself,
  • the building specifications and
  • the operational description for commercial installations

. We ask that you choose either the wizard-assisted form or the option to upload a relevant file. If both options are used, this will result in a significant additional workload when assessing your application.
