Building applications in Bocholt now possible completely digitally

Digital building application: City of Bocholt launches new online portal

Building applications in Bocholt can now be submitted completely digitally. Following the successful completion of the test phase, a new online portal is now available to citizens, specialist planners and architects. This simplifies and speeds up the entire process from the initial application to the final building approval.

With the activation of the new portal at https://bocholt.meinamt.digital/, the city of Bocholt is taking the next step in the digitalisation of its administration. Until now, citizens have been able to view the status of their application online", says Stefan Uebbing, Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations. As of now, the active, digital application for building projects has been activated.

The entire process is thus mapped without media discontinuity, so that all steps from the initial submission to the building permit and construction supervision to the final acceptance can be handled digitally via the platform. The new process promises significant simplification and faster processing of the submitted procedures.

The introduction of the digital building application also serves as targeted preparation for the planned amendment to the state building regulations. While the digital application is currently still a voluntary option in addition to the traditional paper route, it is expected to be exclusively digital in the future.

"In order to make it as easy as possible for everyone involved to get started, further components are already planned for the coming months to further increase the user-friendliness of the portal", says Bocholt's city planning officer Dave Welling.

The city of Bocholt is relying on a standardised and inter-municipal solution for the implementation. The portal will be used by many lower building supervisory authorities in the future and was developed in close cooperation with the Borken district and the towns of Borken and Gronau. This cooperation ensures a standardised and reliable procedure in the district.

All information and instructions can be found on the topic page of the city of Bocholt.
