Talk about saying goodbye!
Why it is so valuable to consider the topics of death and burial at an early stage.
How would we or our nearest and dearest like to be buried? What suits me or for me? And what options are there in Bocholt and the surrounding area?
Experience shows that dying people and their relatives are often ill-prepared for a death. And then everything has to happen very quickly.
In this newly conceived event, we are not dealing with wills and inheritance, but with the decisions surrounding death, which are important for the heart and soul, often for years to come.
Burial at sea, scattered plot, cemetery or cemetery? Coffin or urn? Elective grave or row grave? Own grave design or care-free grave types? Religious rituals or free burial? Public funeral service or farewell in the immediate family circle? This is just a small selection of the many possible questions. One would like to do right by the deceased. Unfortunately, their preferences are often only roughly known or, in the worst case, not known at all. How can the right decisions be made, emotionally, with regard to any grave care, but also financially?
As part of an exciting tour of the region's largest and most beautiful cemetery, you will receive a clear overview of the various funeral services, forms of burial and types of graves in Bocholt and the surrounding area. Which procedures are predetermined and which can be freely determined? We take a look inside the new funeral hall and the listed cemetery chapel.
The tour aims to inform, sensitise and encourage people to consciously deal with parting and mourning - calmly, respectfully and without time pressure.
Information: The event is aimed at adults of all ages. It is free of charge. Participants should be able to walk a distance of approx. 1 km.
