Information event on the prospect of "Hydrogen supply in the commercial and industrial areas of Bocholt"
Together with the municipal utilities (Emmerich, Isselburg and Bocholt), local distribution network operators, business development organisations and chambers, we are committed to driving forward the transformation of our energy supply sustainably and economically. BEW is committed to a hydrogen connection for the Bocholt industrial park in the Mussum district. Together, we have identified a specific transport connection: An existing Thyssengas natural gas pipeline between Emmerich and Bocholt can be converted for hydrogen transport. This will offer local companies from industry and SMEs as well as municipal heating planning an H2 supply perspective until 2030 and thus create planning and investment security. The required quantities of hydrogen are to be imported from the Netherlands as well as generated using wind power on the North Sea coast or via electrolysers in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony.
Our aim is to further concretise the plans already underway to extend a hydrogen supply pipeline from Emmerich in the direction of Isselburg and Bocholt. We would like to involve you and your company in this process at an early stage. We therefore cordially invite you to the following information event:
