Bokeltsen Treff

Sunday open for business from 1-6 pm

In 2026, the traditional Bokeltsen Treff will once again take place on the last weekend in September with Sunday shopping. Under the motto "Experience fun and games together", a day is organised for the whole family. Children can use the large play equipment distributed throughout the city centre for a day free of charge while their parents shop, stroll around, meet up with friends for a drink, ice cream, cake or snack, or simply watch their children play. During the special opening hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., customers are very welcome in the shops in the city centre.

Parking is free in the entire city centre and StadtBus Bocholt GmbH will be running a free special service on this Sunday.

Once a year, Bocholt's city centre is transformed into a lively adventure mile: the Bokeltsen Treff is much more than just an open Sunday - it's a festival for the whole family!

Between the historic town hall, Neustraße, the shopping arcades, the Neutorcenter and Osterstraße and Nordstraße, visitors can look forward to a colourful programme of activities to join in, marvel at and enjoy. Whether exciting demonstrations, creative activities for children or atmospheric highlights for adults - there is guaranteed to be something for everyone.

The shops at Bokeltsen Treff open their doors from 1 to 6 p.m. and surprise visitors with attractive special offers. Stroll through the streets, browse for great offers and let yourself be carried away by the special atmosphere. If you want to take a break in between, the cosy cafés, ice cream parlours and restaurants offer just the right place to enjoy yourself.

Every year, the Bokeltsen Treff attracts thousands of visitors from Bocholt, the entire region and the neighbouring Netherlands.

Free parking spaces are available in the city centre to ensure a relaxed journey - in addition, a free special transport service provided by StadtBus Bocholt GmbH ensures convenient mobility.

The Bokeltsen Treff is organised by Stadtmarketing Bocholt in cooperation with the city centre traders and advertising associations. Over the years, the Bokeltsen Treff has developed into a real visitor magnet - and is now a permanent fixture in the city's events calendar.
