Bokeltsen Treff

Sunday open for business from 1-6 pm

In 2026, the traditional Bokeltsen Treff will once again take place on the last weekend in September with Sunday shopping. Under the motto "Experience fun and games together", a day is organised for the whole family. Children can use the large play equipment distributed throughout the city centre for a day free of charge while their parents shop, stroll around, meet up with friends for a drink, ice cream, cake or snack, or simply watch their children play. During the special opening hours from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., customers are very welcome in the shops in the city centre.

Parking is free in the entire city centre and StadtBus Bocholt GmbH will be running a free special service on this Sunday.

27 September 2026

Stroll around, get involved, discover local clubs and experience Bocholt: at the Bokeltsen Treff on Sunday 27 September 2026, the town centre will become a meeting place for the whole family. From 1 pm to 6 pm, the shops will be open for a Sunday shopping event. There'll also be plenty of hands-on activities in the town centre centred around construction technology, as well as the 2nd Bocholt Clubs Fair, featuring around 70 clubs and organisations.

What's it like to drive an excavator yourself? What does Bocholt look like when you're soaring high above the town centre? And who'll make it all the way to the top in the pole-climbing challenge?

At this year's Bokeltsen Treff, things are set to get hands-on, exciting and quite high up at various locations. Bocholt-based companies are bringing large machines and special activities right into the city centre, inviting visitors to have a go and be amazed.

There are fantastic hands-on activities and attractions waiting for you all over the place:

  • Neutorplatz:

    • Reach new heights with Lift it's aerial work platform
    • Have a go at operating an excavator with Mesken Hoch-, Tief- und Straßenbau
    • Explore the inside of a fire engine
    • Get up close to a THW vehicle
  • St. Georg-Platz:

    • Reach new heights with the crane: experience Bocholt from above from the gondola with Schares mobile cranes
    • Try out machinery & photo opportunity with Tekaath - including a giant inflatable chainsaw
    • Operate an excavator with Schöttler
  • Market Square: Pile climbing with Holzbau Kampshoff

In addition, there are plenty of special promotions in the shops with attractive offers.

Have a look. Find out more. Get involved.

Following its huge success two years ago, the Bocholt Clubs and Organisations Fair is taking place for the second time. Around 70 clubs and organisations will be showcasing what Bocholt has to offer in the Shopping-Arkaden.

Whether it's sport, culture, volunteering, leisure or social engagement - the Clubs Fair highlights the diversity of Bocholt's club life and invites you to discover new opportunities, strike up a conversation and perhaps even get involved yourself.

The Clubs and Organisations Fair is run by the City of Bocholt and organised by the Volunteer Agency.
