Volunteers are people who help others of their own accord and in their spare time. You do not receive a normal wage or salary for this work. However, you may sometimes receive a small financial allowance (expense allowance), for example to cover travel costs.

As a volunteer, you decide entirely for yourself how much time you'd like to give and which tasks you'd like to take on. Volunteering is very rewarding: you'll quickly get to know new people and can share your own hobbies and strengths with others.

Become an interpreter (language mediator pool): Do you already speak German and your native language well? Would you like to help newly arrived families? Then you can get involved as a volunteer interpreter. The district of Borken is always looking for people to join its translation group.

Contact: Borken District Municipal Integration Centre (Language Mediator Pool), Telephone: 02861/6814377, Email: sprachmittlerpool(at)kreis-borken(dot)de, Website: https://ki.kreis-borken.de/de/sprachmittler/

Find other volunteering opportunities: Would you prefer to help with other projects (for example, in sport, with children or animals)? The Bocholt Volunteer Agency can show you all the options.
